NALA

Check me out on YouTube!  I'm a video star!

*****   ADOPTED 9/17/2011   *****

This gorgeous girl is Nala.  She came to our rescue because someone in her family has developed an allergy to dogs.  She is a beautiful 2 year old husky mix.  She has been raised with small children around and she is really wonderful with them.  She is active and likes to run and play, but she settles down nicely in the evenings for family time.  She loves to play with bones and ropes, she loves to play catch with her chew toys.

She is completely housebroken and is used to waiting 8 hours for her family to get home from work.  She will greet you by talking to you and she might try to convince you that she's really just a 15 pound lap dog as she tried to curl up in your lap.  She will cuddle with you when you watch tv, but she won't take up space in your bed - she prefers the floor.

She is a bit afraid of cats but we believe that she'd probably be safe living with them.  She likes other dogs, but her play includes a lot of talking and barking.  She hasn't lived with other dogs nor has she had the opportunity to socialize with them much.  A dog introduction would be required to see how they do together if an applicant has other dogs.

Nala can scale a chain link fence so we are hoping to find a home where she can romp and play behind a 6' privacy fence.
