**ADOPTED JUNE 11, 2011** Owner Surrender / Shelter Transfer Location: Nebraska Saffron was surrendered because her family could no longer care for her. Saffron has a lot of puppy exuberance and loves to explore, play, run and then start all over again, but she also knows how to relax and enjoy belly rubs at the end of the day. She is a little possive of toys and food. She does well with other dogs, but we also think she'd be very happy as an only dog. She is working on basic obedience and learning so quickly. Saffron should not be trusted alone in a yard by herself as she can jump a fence. Saffron is crate trained and will do fine in her crate while you are at work and she is also house trained. She's takes treats gently and knows "sit", "down", and is working on "stay". She is highly treat motivated and a quick learner. We have been told that she lived with cats, but we have not tested her ourselves so we are unsure about how she would do with them. Our assumption is that a home with no cats is best, although her personality doesn't suggest high prey drive.
