Surrendering your Husky or Malamute

fenceEveryday, dozens of Siberian Huskies and many Alaskan Malamutes are killed in shelters across the country. In order achieve our mission, we commit ourselves to help healthy and treatable dogs who are at risk of being killed in a shelter and have no other options.

We do not have a facility.  Every dog in Taysia Blue Rescue must live safely in the home of a volunteer, along with their human and furry family members.  Currently requests for help exceeds the number of open foster homes by almost 10 to 1.

We are sad to hear from families who feel like their only option is to give up the dogs they love. We will try to direct you to trainers in your area who might e able to help you work with some behavior challenges.  We would much rather that your dog is able to remain in his or her home with the people he trusts.

We would like to help every dog and owner who needs us, but please note that we prioritize the Huskies and Malamutes that are in the greatest jeopardy of being killed due to shelter overcrowding.

Home to Home helps pets stay out of shelters. It is a unique, direct-to-adopter tool for pet guardians looking to re-home their animals. In just a few simple steps, pets can find a loving new home without ever seeing the inside of a shelter.  It’s free to use for both guardians and adopters, and gives animals needing a new home the best of both worlds: their current guardian can find the best fit, and their adopter can learn all about their personality and preferences first-hand. It’s a win-win for pets!

Taysia Blue Rescue is focused on providing lifesaving options for Huskies and Malamutes that are already at risk in shelters which helps to alleviate overcrowding and reduces euthanasia.  This often limits our ability to help owners who need to find a home for their pet.  We espouse life-long pet guardianship, but we know from many years of experience that life sometimes throws hard curve balls. With Kindness and Compassion being one of our core values, we want to cultivate a thriving, judgment-free experience fostering tolerance and respect for all.

There’s no place like home. Unfortunately, pets sometimes need a new one. We understand. That’s why we’re introducing Home to Home. Find your pet a new home (or find a new pet for your home). Visit  to get started today.
